GOSPEL OF JOHN: GOD’S OWN SON
John 18:25-27
Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They asked him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.” One of the slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” Again Peter denied it, and at that moment the cock crowed.

WE DIRECT OUR MINDS TO GOD
DECLARING OUR UNITY IN WORSHIP
Psalm 32:1-2, 5-6
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And You forgave the guilt of my sin.
Therefore, let all the faithful pray to You while You may be found.
PRAYER SEEKING GOD’S PRESENCE
Merciful God, we need Your forgiveness. Lord Jesus, we need You to lead us to repentance. Holy Spirit, we need Your power to change. Father, Son, and Spirit make us aware of our sins and transform us by Your grace. Amen.

GOD, WE’RE LISTENING
John 18:12-18
read by Leah Jackson
So the soldiers, their officer, and the Jewish police arrested Jesus and bound Him. First they took Him to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year. Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it was better to have one person die for the people.
Simon Peter and another disciple followed Jesus. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest, but Peter was standing outside at the gate. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out, spoke to the woman who guarded the gate, and brought Peter in. The woman said to Peter, “You are not also one of this man’s disciples, are you?” He said, “I am not.” Now the slaves and the police had made a charcoal fire because it was cold, and they were standing around it and warming themselves. Peter also was standing with them and warming himself.

GOD HELP US
Prayer
Lord, You said, “If you love Me, you will obey what I command.”
Forgive us our lukewarm love and our disobedience.
Lord, You said, “You may ask for anything in My name.”
Forgive us when we think we need to solve our own problems.
Lord, You said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
We confess that our lives are often consumed by worry and anxiety.
Lord, You said, “If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”
Forgive us our barren lives, Lord.
Lord, You said, “You must testify, for you have been with Me.”
We confess, Lord, that we have been too often silent.
Lord, You said, “Love each other as I have loved you.”
In this and in so many other ways, we confess our failures and shortcomings. Amen.
WE CONCLUDE WITH THE LORD’S PRAYER:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
THANKING GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS
We offer God a portion of our money as a way to say we love God, and desire to encourage the ministry & mission of the church.
