GOSPEL OF JOHN: GOD’S OWN SON

John 4:46-54
Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” The official said to Him, “Sir, come down before my little boy dies.” Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started on his way.

WE DIRECT OUR MINDS TO GOD
DECLARING OUR UNITY IN WORSHIP
John 4:23-24
The hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship Him.
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

PRAYER SEEKING GOD’S PRESENCE
God of all mercy, Your Son brought good news to the despairing, freedom to the oppressed, and joy to the weeping. Fill us with Your Spirit, that the people of our day may see in us His likeness and glorify Your name. Amen.

GOD, WE’RE LISTENING
Psalm 40:1-5
read by Paul Shaheen

I waited patiently for the Lord;
    He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the desolate pit,[a]
    out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
    making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
    a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
    and put their trust in the Lord.

Happy are those who make
    the Lord their trust,
who do not turn to the proud,
    to those who go astray after false gods.
You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
    Your wondrous deeds and Your thoughts toward us;
    none can compare with You.
Were I to proclaim and tell of them,
    they would be more than can be counted.

GOD HELP US
Prayer

WE CONCLUDE WITH THE LORD’S PRAYER:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

THANKING GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS
We offer God a portion of our money as a way to say we love God, and desire to encourage the ministry & mission of the church.
